Christmas in New York City

Even though Christmas is technically over, the holiday spirit has not faded away. That’s why I’ve decided to post about a trip I took to N.Y.C. this past week!

New York is known for being beautiful during Christmas time… and it really is! I wasn’t there for very long, but I got to check off the top things on my list. img_3062

The first thing we did was go to the Time Werner mall and eat brunch. There was a really nice cafe inside and it was great to be away from the cold!

There were also some markets near the mall and Central Park that we walked by. They were really nice and had a huge variety of shops!

Later, we went to Rockefeller Center to see the Christmas Tree and statue. It was really crowded but we managed to get some pictures! (This is also where the NBC Today Show is filmed!)

We wanted to go ice skating, but Rockefeller was way to packed and crazy. Instead we went to Bryant Park. I definitely recommend going here because there were many little shops and stands as well as a lovely tree and fun ice skating.

Now, let’s just take a moment to honor Saks 5th Avenue. They went all out. From fun decorations to a super cool light show… they blew the crowd away! At first, we were just walking down the street when we saw gates set up against the sidewalk. We thought there was a parade or something! But no… it was Saks putting on the coolest show ever. I applaud them.

That night we had tickets to see the Rockettes in the Radio City Music Hall. This was a magnificent show and had many fun parts to it! This is a must-see if you are ever going to New York during this season!

Sadly, this concluded our New York trip. It was a lost of fun and I’m glad I could share it with you!

  1. There is no place like New York City at Christmas. I grew up in New York and we went to Manhattan every year to see “the tree” as New Yorkers call it. After we all married and had families of our own we took our children every year, it was a tradition.
Now we live in Florida, our daughter lives here too. Our sons still live in New York and do visit the city on occasion but not often. It has become so crowded and they live in the sub burbs over an hour away.
It is and always will be a fantastic place to be during the holiday’s. Thanks for the great memories. :o)

    1. It must have been so nice to grow up in a big city like that! The city always sparkles during the holidays. Although, living in the sub burbs must be a lot easier! Thank you so much, you are so sweet! šŸ™‚
